Objetivos de aprendizagem

It is expected that the students will be able to:
• Identify requirement rules of academic papers presentation.
• Identify and evaluate a range of research methods used in this area of knowledge and action.
• Collect, analyze and describe data in the course of an investigation.
• Develop structural components of a dissertation or applied research project report.

Contents

1. Structural components (pre-textual, textual and post-textual) of a dissertation or applied research project report.
2. Research types.
3. Data collection techniques.
4. Types of sampling.
5. Collection, processing and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative empirical data.


Teaching Procedures

Teaching methodology combines teaching / learning system with tutorials. Is based on active methods, in the classroom predominate, and is valued, participatory exposure methods, merged with active students participation in exercises and role-playing focused on research projects presentation. In tutorials, focus is knowledge application to the development of a individual research project.

Final Classification

The assessment is individual and consists of a pre-project development, which includes a structured work according to academic rules. Succinctly it develops the topic, objectives, literature review, research methodologies and design of involved activities, including a submission of a timeline (100%).
